Dog Beach Park is a stretch of beach and tidal sandbars located just outside Lover’s Key State Park on the picturesque south side of the island along New Pass. The park is an off-leash area to allow dogs to enjoy the sand and gorgeous water. The park does not have restrooms, but it does feature a portable toilet and doggie shower stations. Note that the area is a tidal flat, and when the tide is high, you may be required to wade through water to get to the actual beach. Due to the nature of the area and tides, the beach is largest and best enjoyed at low tide. Even if you don’t have a dog with you, this can be a great area to check out due to its ideal location.
Usage Fees:
Dog Beach Park is free to use and does not require a parking fee.
